Our childcare center is all about helping to meet the needs of parents. One of the needs we recognized was the early release of elementary-aged students on Friday afternoons. To help address this need, we now have a Panther Club! It is led by Ms. Kayla, Ms. Tara, and Ms. Jacq. During Panther Club, we focus on reinforcing skills addressed in their everyday classrooms, STEM activities, and taking field trips out and about around beautiful Park City.
Winter has finally arrived and the kids love playing in the snow. With the arrival of winter, that also means the holidays are just around the corner. Ducky the Elf has returned to the center and the tree is up.
The preschool classes went to the Kimball Arts Center on November 3rd. They had a blast! The children were so well behaved, the KAC even invited them back for another field trip this year!
The children were very busy on Halloween. Their first stop was the costume parade at McPolin Elementary, followed by a walk to the district office. After that, they were off to the learning center and, finally, they ended their adventures with some trick or treating around the high school.
The older buggy at the center was just about to be "retired" when we heard about the small engine repair class at Treasure Mountain. Thanks to those students, the buggy is fixed and as good as new! It has even been "kid tested." Thank you TMJH small engine repair class!
First of all...thank you!!! Our latest fundraiser (for Ms. Sue and her husband) raised over $1400.00. You are amazing!! Thank you so much for your support and kind words. It was very much appreciated by Sue and her family.
The next fundraiser night will be held on Friday, December 2nd, from 5-10 p.m. "Winter Wonderland" will be the theme and the kiddos are sure to have a "cool" time.
This is a busy time of year at the center. The weather is changing and that means the snow will be here in no time. That means ski lessons (for Ms. Hanna's and Ms. Julie's classes) will be starting soon! (It is Vail's requirement that children must be 3 years old and potty-trained.) Also, please make sure your child has a pass for Park City. The 1st day of ski lessons will be December 7th.
Parent/Teacher conferences will be held the week of November 14th-18th. Here is the schedule:
November 14th: Infants with Ms. Stacy
November 15th: Toddlers with Ms. Molly
November 16th: 3s with Ms. Hanna
November 17th: 2s with Ms. Melisa
November 18th: Pre-K with Ms. Julie
*sign-up sheets will be posted one week prior
Finally, here are some photos of what some of the kiddos have been up to lately:
May 24th: Last day of ice skating for Hedgehogs and Jellyfish
May 28th: No School (Memorial Day)
May 31st: End-of-Year Graduation/Celebration
June 6th: Last Day of School
See you next school year!
